Absurdily: Where conversations go too far — and that’s exactly the point.
It all started with a question:
“Is it biologically possible to be your own grandfather?”
I could’ve just laughed, shrugged, and moved on.
But I didn’t.
I opened 17 tabs. I spiralled into obscure Reddit threads. I watched YouTube videos made in 144p by conspiracy theorists with questionable Wi-Fi. I read a biology paper from 1997. And then… I wrote about it.
Hi. I’m Mustajab Haider, the mildly overthinking, overly curious human behind Absurdily.
If you’ve ever laughed at something weird and then thought, “Wait — is that even true?”, congratulations — you’ve just had an Absurdily moment. Welcome.
So, What Is Absurdily?
It’s not quite a blog. Not quite a think piece factory. Definitely not a lifestyle brand.
It’s more like the internet’s friendly neighbourhood rabbit hole — built for people who enjoy asking questions that have no business being answered.
- Why aren’t donuts square?
- Could a fish hold a grudge?
- What if we all just started walking backwards — would society collapse?
These are the kinds of questions that keep me (and now, you) up at night. I started this site as an outlet for my favourite kind of conversation: the ones that start off silly, get unexpectedly deep, and somehow circle back to a punchline no one saw coming.
Why I Made This
I’ve always loved a good conversation — the kind that jumps from aliens to ancient kings to “should soup be taxed as a drink?” in under five minutes. Some people meditate. I overthink the absurd.
Absurdily is a space where the curious, the conversational, and the comically concerned can come together and explore the things that definitely don’t matter — but secretly kind of do. It’s a mix of half-researched answers, over-researched nonsense, and the kind of humour you can’t quite explain to your friends (but will try anyway).
What You’ll Find Here
If you’re new, here’s the vibe:
- Absurd Questions. Semi-Serious Investigations.
We chase the ridiculous and report back with suspiciously thorough results. - Humour That’s Too Thoughtful.
You’ll laugh. Then you’ll wonder. Then you’ll send the article to your equally strange friend. - A Community of Curious Weirdos.
No judgment. No ads telling you to get your life together. Just vibes and very specific questions.
Final Thoughts (Before You Wander Off Again)
Absurdily exists because I couldn’t stop asking odd questions — and because I believed there were other people out there doing the same thing. If you’ve ever paused mid-scroll to Google something ridiculous, you’re one of us now.
Thanks for being here. Seriously.
Whether you stay for one post or get lost in a spiral of theories about pigeon espionage — I hope you leave with a smile, a thought, or at least a new reason to overthink breakfast.
